RES Dot Day

Riverside Elementary second grade students celebrated International Dot Day, along with ten million other students and teachers in 169 countries, on Friday, September 15th. International Dot Day is based on the children’s book The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds.

Students wore polka dots, created dots and decided how they were going to “make their mark” on the world. International Dot Day paired well with the school’s service project, Heroes for Harvey, a grade-level collection of school supplies that will be donated to Ms. Jackson’s 2nd grade class at Valley West Elementary School in Houston, Texas.
