Week of March 16th-20th

Reading logs were sent home by teachers last week.  Our class reading challenge/competition began Saturday, March 14.  Students are to record the name of the book they read and the number of minutes and must have a parent signature.  Our reading challenge goes to the last day of March. If your student does not have the paper, just record on notebook paper.  Reading skills can be enhanced just by practicing. The more you read, the better reader you become!

March 16, 2020 through March 20, 2020 will be eLearning Days for Greater Clark County Schools. Students will complete their assignments at home. School buildings will be closed to students and non-essential staff.  No one will be at the school to answer calls. eLearning allows our staff and students to complete the third quarter of the school year.

Teachers will be available consistently online from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and will be checking messages intermittently until 2:30 p.m. each day. If you are having trouble contacting a teacher, please email your child’s teacher or principal. Teachers will work with students electronically to give assistance and make accommodations for individual needs.

Food service for students will be available Monday – Friday during this week via a drive-thru pick-up service at Parkwood Elementary School, New Washington Middle/High School, Pleasant Ridge Elementary School, and The Mark Fetter Center in Jeffersonville, and Bob Hedge Park in Jeffersonville from  10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

March 30, 2020 – April 3, 2020 will be Closed Days for Greater Clark County Schools. We will use the flexibility granted by Governor Holcomb for these days.
