Week of April 20-24 Elearning
Elearning April 20-24: Students in grades 3-5, student assignments will be posted on chromebooks. Students in PreK-2, this week’s work was included in the paper packets you picked up on April 6. The packets had two weeks worth of work to include this Elearning week. We will have another pick-up for the May Elearning days. For all grades, teachers will be available on Elearning weeks constantly online from 9-12 and periodically checking in from 12:00-2:30.
Students should complete the work within the week given. Work during Elearning weeks is expected from all students. Credit will be given and reflected on the report card for the fourth grading period. If possible, we would like parents in Prek-2 to send a picture of your child’s work to your child’s teacher through email, dojo or other electronic means. It doesn’t have to be every page…just representation of the work. If this is not possible, please let your child’s teacher know. We will work with you!
The next packet pick-up for the May Elearning days will be Monday, April 27 from 8-5.

Food Service Update for April 20, 2020-April 24, 2020
Greater Clark County Schools and our partners at Aramark are providing free grab & go meals for all children 18 years and under during the district closure. We will continue next week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays only from 10:00a.m.-1:00p.m. Children will receive two breakfast and two lunch meals on Mondays and Wednesdays. Children will receive one breakfast and one lunch on Fridays.
Locations for pick-up are Spring Hill Elementary, The Mark Fetter Center, Bob Hedge Park, New Washington Middle/High School, Parkwood Elementary and Pleasant Ridge Elementary. To ensure safety and to prevent the spread of COVID-19, meals will be served in a drive-thru fashion. Families will need to remain in their vehicles as they drive up to pick up meals.
Plans for delivering textbooks and picking up personal items: Towards the end of May, we would like to have a time for you to bring your child’s textbooks, library books and any items that belong to the school (such as classroom library books) back to school. We would also like for you to be able to pick up your child’s personal items from the classroom. However, being able to do so and the timeline for such an event is dependent on the parameters of social distancing and travel restrictions. Please collect items that need to be returned to school from around your house and put in one area of your home in anticipation (and hope!) that we will be able to make this exchange in May.
If you have more questions regarding the corporation plans for the rest of the school year, please visit the Greater Clark County Schools website at www.gcs.k12.in.us or the FAQ document here: eLearning During Covid-19-FAQ.
