Week of April 27-May 1 

April 27, 2020-April 30, 2020 will be Closed Days for Greater Clark County Schools. We will use the flexibility granted by Governor Holcomb for these days. Students may continue to work on submitting assignments from the previous week, but no new work will be assigned. Teachers will be available via email to answer questions. 


Friday, May 1, 2020 will be an eLearning Day for Greater Clark County Schools. Students will complete their assignments at home. Teachers will be available consistently online from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. and will be checking messages intermittently until 2:30 p.m. each day. Teachers will work with students electronically to give assistance and make accommodations for individual needs. NOTE: May 1 was previously a Closed Day. 


PreK-2 packet pick up will be Monday, April 27 from 8:00AM-5PM. 


Yearbooks : ORDERS DUE THIS WEEK! Yearbooks are $16.00 each.  They can be purchased online at www.inter-state.com/yearbook.  CODE:  44140R


Please register your student for school next year with the directions below.  If your student will not be attending Riverside next year, please let us know by emailing our Administrative Assistant Dawn Kost at dkost@gccschools.com. For those students currently on a transfer, the papers have been mailed to you via US Mail. Please complete and mail back to Riverside.


2020-2021 K-12 registration began on Tuesday, March 31, 2020 on the Greater Clark County Schools website: http://gcs.k12.in.us/

  • Returning students may register by clicking on CURRENT STUDENT REGISTRATION. Returning students will receive a letter in the mail this week with your Infosnap Snapcode information.  

  • Kindergarten students may register by clicking on NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION. 

  • Be sure you click on the option for the 2020-2021 school year. 

  • Please email Kathy Lynch at klynch@gccschools.com if you experience any issues during the registration process. 

2020-2021 Preschool registration is open NOW.

Food Service Update for April 27, 2020-May 1, 2020


Greater Clark County Schools and our partners at Aramark are providing free grab & go meals for all children 18 years and under during the district closure.  We will continue next week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays only from 10:00a.m.-1:00p.m. Children will receive two breakfast and two lunch meals on Mondays and Wednesdays. Children will receive one breakfast and one lunch on Fridays.   


Locations for pick-up are Spring Hill Elementary, The Mark Fetter Center, Bob Hedge Park, New Washington Middle/High School, Parkwood Elementary and Pleasant Ridge Elementary. To ensure safety and to prevent the spread of COVID-19, meals will be served in a drive-thru fashion.  Families will need to remain in their vehicles as they drive up to pick up meals.

You will need to leave a voicemail with your student’s name, school, and a brief description of the issue. A GCCS tech staff member will return your call.
