Week of May 4- May 8 Elearning
May 4, 2020-May 8, 2020 will be eLearning Days for Greater Clark County Schools. Students will complete their assignments at home. Teachers will be available consistently online from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. and will be checking messages intermittently until 2:30 p.m. each day. For students in Prek-2, packet pick up was last Monday, April 27 and included all materials you will need for the remainder of elearning time this year. If you missed that packet pick-up, leftover packets will be available Monday, May 4 from 9:00-1:00 on the front porch of the school.
Quarter 4 Continuous Education: Students should be participating in elearning activities the school is offering. Students should be completing assignments through May 15. Students in PreK-2 should be completing packet assignments. Students in grades 3-5 should be logging into their google classroom to complete assignments. Please ask your child to show you his/her work.
Food Service Update for May 4, 2020-May 8, 2020
Greater Clark County Schools and our partners at Aramark are providing free grab & go meals for all children 18 years and under during the district closure. We will continue next week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays only from 10:00a.m.-1:00p.m. Children will receive two breakfast and two lunch meals on Mondays and Wednesdays. Children will receive one breakfast and one lunch on Fridays.
Locations for pick-up are Spring Hill Elementary, The Mark Fetter Center, Bob Hedge Park, New Washington Middle/High School, Parkwood Elementary and Pleasant Ridge Elementary. To ensure safety and to prevent the spread of COVID-19, meals will be served in a drive-thru fashion. Families will need to remain in their vehicles as they drive up to pick up meals.
Teacher Appreciation Week- May 4-8- We have wonderful teachers and staff here at Riverside. Help us celebrate them this week by sending your child’s teacher a note (a great writing assignment for your child on Elearning week!) and let them know how much they are appreciated this week!
Yearbooks : We have extended the ordering deadline to MAY 8! Yearbooks are $16.00 each. They can be purchased online at www.inter-state.com/yearbook. CODE: 44140R
Plans for the 2020-21 school year: It is very important that you register your child for next school year as soon as possible. Your child will not be placed on a class list unless he/she is registered. Registration for all returning students is available by going to on the Greater Clark County Schools website: http://gcs.k12.in.us/
Returning students may register by clicking on CURRENT STUDENT REGISTRATION. Returning students will receive a letter in the mail this week with your Infosnap Snapcode information.
