To stay up do date on activities around RES

Riverside Elementary School students may participate in several extra-curricular activities during the school year. Extramural sports that may be offered are basketball, cheerleading, cross country, track, and wrestling. Our sports programs are generally available to third, fourth, and fifth grade students. Only fourth and fifth graders are eligible to try out for cheerleader. In all sports we look for boys and girls with a positive attitude, who maintain average grades, show respect for others, and have a willingness to play hard and exhibit good sportsmanship.

Other intramural programs, an academic competitive team, choir, and a wrestling clinic may also be offered. Students participating in any sports or other extra-curricular program must demonstrate appropriate behavior and sportsmanship, both at school and all sporting events and other activities. Students must also make acceptable grades (C average or above), as determined by the classroom teacher, coach, and principal. Our extramural and intramural activities are offered to enable each student to explore activities outside of the regular academic program. These activities are offered as options to help each child explore and develop his or her own interests and talents to be the best he or she can be.

All activity opportunities information and schedules will come out through monthly calendars, newsletters, and through fliers put out by sponsors.
